The slippery Russian Oligarch, Roman Abramovich, has been caught out over £1 Billion tax evasion arising from his dealings with Chelsea Football Club.
Sadly, but predictably, it was a team of investigative jounalists who brought this to light rather than the officials of HMRC.
It would be utterly naieve to suggest that this case was any kind of “one off”.
If HMRC tax evasion specialists had been asked to find another 39 cases that could have plugged the infamous “Black Hole”.
But Starmer and Reeves appear to prefer ending Pensioners Winter Fuel Allowance, refusing any compensation to WASPI women and maintaining the two child benefit cap to cracking down on obscenely rich criminals.
Go figure.
